There has been some confusion if the iOcean X8 phablet will or will not feature dual SIM support. The simple answer is it does, and here is the proof.
We have seen plenty of early hands on photos of the iOcean X8, showing off the 5.7-inch 1080 display, 14 mega-pixel main camera and alloy chassis, but many potential customers are concerned the phone won’t come with dual-SIM support.
Being the pro-active company they are, iOcean have been quick to quash that worry by sending us detailed photos of the single SIM try which cleverly accepts 2 x sim cards.
Gizchina News of the week
Many phone makers build their dual sim phones with a separate tray for each SIM, but like Vivo before them, iOcean have opted for a single extra length SIM tray which hold both cards (a micro and nano sim). The idea is simple, neat and makes for an easy to manufacture product.
iOcean have also confirmed to us that the iOcean X8 seen in the early unboxing photos yesterday, is a pre-production sample and does not have the same quality main camera as production phones will have. A production version of the phone will be sent to us in the coming weeks for a full review.

This is also a negative point. I have to cut my sim further to nano sim. Sigh…
Dual sim but no SD card port?
yep, correct.
Mini version would have nano and… pico-SIM? 😛

Let’s see how many will be returned to China because of a nano sim stuck deep inside the device
Oh god you just gave me nightmares 🙁 I can imagine that happening to me
It’s dumb to have nano-sim in a 6 inch “phone”… (hello HTC too)
Lenovo K910 has two SIMs in the same tray as well (I don’t like any solution that needs custom tools to open, but at least those are two Micro-SIMs)
