OPPO might have launched the 1440 x 2560 variant of the Find 7 in March this year, but going by what OPPOStyle has to say, the high-res smartphone won’t be heading to your homes anytime soon.
Something that caught our attention while going through the OPPO forums was an ongoing discussion about the availability of the 2K OPPO Find 7. A forum user apparently got in touch with OPPOStyle, a webstore that happens to be one among the largest (if the not the largest) resellers of OPPO smartphones. OPPOStyle’s response wasn’t what most would’ve hoped for, but something which you would definitely would’ve seen coming — delays in availability.
Regarding the OPPO Find 7 (QHD/2k screen version), I (OPPOStyle) would like to inform you that is not available yet and we will not probably be able to start accepting pre-orders before early June.
Gizchina News of the week
OPPO really could’ve played the game better by making the device available much sooner. Another Chinese manufacturer, Vivo (OPPO and Vivo have the same roots), after announcing a 2560 x 1440p smartphone, the Vivo Xplay 3S, took its own sweet time to roll out a steady retail supply. With pre-orders set to take place in June, you perhaps will have to wait for the 2K Find 7 till as late as August, which we hope isn’t the case.

What’s more, OPPO being a more ‘international’ company will perhaps have to deal with a lot more orders which definitely won’t make it better.
If you aren’t aware, the Find 7 was released by OPPO on March 19th in two variants — a 1920 x 1080p FHD version, aka Find 7a and the higher-end 2560 x 1440p Find 7, both with other high-end internals to take on other international biggies.

Ugh. What’s the point of making it a 801 device if they’re not going to ship it until mid-year? The 805 is shipping in May, so why didn’t they just wait if they couldn’t get the screens anyway?
The 805 is a better choice for moving around the extra pixels anyway…
