We just talked about the OPPO Find 7 which was facing a delay in availability, and here we are talking high-res screens again. What’s common between the two is a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, the highest seen on a mobile device yet.
That being said, we have to mention that no manufacturer yet has been able to have a steady enough supply yet… well, sort of (the Xplay 3S has been shipping on and off). Samsung talked about a 5.2-inch 2K screen it was hoping to make available, Vivo has it with the 6-inch Xplay 3S, and then there’s the favourite — OPPO Find 7. It is indeed pretty clear what the world wants; rather, what the market wants the consumers to get.
Gizchina News of the week
While its not really clear if there is noticeable difference between 1920 x 1080p and 2560 x 1440p panels, everybody likes to stay on top of technology — especially those reading this — which makes it irrelevant altogether.
Coming back to AUO’s 5.7-inch display, it comes with the AMOLED technology, a favourite with Samsung. AUO has been making panels for Samsung screens, which suggests this new offering might be tailor made for the next Galaxy phablet from Samsung, the Galaxy Note 4.
AUO’s love for large screen doesn’t end just there; the company said that it was also working on a 6-inch display with the same QHD resolution.
Things really look in line for the next Galaxy Note release. Which display do you think the Note 4 will have — 5.7-inch or the 6-inch? Our money’s on the 5.7-inch QHD panel.
