Oneplus might be a young start-up, but they have a lot of hype surrounding them and the big guns are obviously worried.
Weeks ago OnePlus announced that the launch date of the Oneplus One phone, a Snapdragon 801 device with 3GB RAM and running a custom version of CyanogenMod, would launch in Beijing on April 23rd. That launch is now just 6 days away, but Xiaomi and Nubia are both hopping to steal the show with launches of their own.
Xiaomi are expected to hold a conference on April 23rd where they will launch this mysterious device, and are rumoured to be launching an updated Xiaomi Mi3S and possibly even an Android tablet.
Gizchina News of the week
ZTE’s Nubia will also use the day to release a new product too. It is still unclear if this will be a new device of if Nubia will begin the sales of their Nubia X6 flagship on this date.
Huawei are also in on the action, but they will make their stand a day earlier on the 22nd April with the release of the Huawei Honor X1! A 4G LTE phone running a 1.6Ghz self developed processor and rumoured to cost only 1799 Yuan!
Even with all this pressure all eyes are still firmly set on OnePlus and their new device, making this one of the most hotly anticipated launches of the year!
