There is no love lost between Xiaomi and Meizu and it’s only going to escalate, well if these rumours are true, with the launch of the Meizu MX4.
Meizu’s current flagship phone, the MX3 with Exynos octacore processor, was launched back in September and is about ripe for an update. As is usual in the case of Meizu we didn’t need to wait too long before Jack Wong hit up the forums and started to talk about his companies next move.
According to JW the Meizu MX4 will be larger than current Meizu phones and have a 5.5-inch 2560 x 1536 resolution display. If you are counting that makes for a screen with a pixel density of 543ppi!

Other updates include 3GB RAM, 5 mega-pixel front camera, 16 mega-pixel rear and Flyme 4.0 based on Android 4.4 Kitkat. Interestingly the phone could also finally ditch Samsung in favour of Qualcomm and their Snapdragon 805 CPU as processor of choice.
So where exactly do Meizu hope to hit Xiaomi? Well it’s in the price department as the Meizu MX4 is rumoured to start from just 1999 Yuan! If this is the case how will Xiaomi respond and what could the Mi4 have to offer over the Meizu?
