Update: It is not the launch that should be reported, but the fact that the device will go on sale starting this month. As for the pricing, Huawei have stated that the phone will sell for €299.
The Huawei Ascend P7 might be due in just 10 days from now, but the Chinese company seems in no mood to let the heat off of it. In a bid to add to the complete Ascend P7 build up, Huawei today announced the mini variant of its upcoming flagship.
The device is launched with a 4.5-inch qHD (960 x 540p) display, which is a clear indication that the Ascend P7 mini is not going to be an alternative to the full sized Ascend P7 which has repeatedly leaked with a 5-inch 1080p screen. Instead, the P7 mini can be seen as a device for a completely different set of buyers.

It also rocks the acclaimed 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core CPU which has found its way into a tonne of mid-range affordable smartphones including the Motorola Moto G. Other internals of the device include — Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB on-board ROM + microSD slot, LTE support and a 2000mAh battery. The device will carry the same camera specs as the Ascend P6, in an 8 mega-pixel rear and a 5 mega-pixel front shooter.
Press images suggest that the phone will be made in Black and Bling… i.e., Golden. No word on pricing yet, but you can expect it to cost as much as last year’s Ascend P6.
