High-end specification, sophisticated design, and high quality material are all details we are seeing more and more often on Chinese phones, now new comer OOne what to bring it all to Mediatek devices.
Very little is known about the flagship Oone other the company are aiming to deliver a premium feeling smartphone to the masses using materials such as glass and aluminium rather than the more mainstream plastic. It is also rumoured that instead of a 1.7Ghz Octacore MT6592 the Oone could have the 2.0Ghz variant with up to 2GB RAM too.
Gizchina News of the week
Oone will be joining the likes of Gionee, Huawei, JiaYu, iOcean and Oppo who all have glass, alloy Mediatek phones in the works or already on sale, so what could the Oone do any better?

Nope…the next brand is= OnePlusOneEqualsTwo 😀
For sure it looks promising…but, to answer your question “what could the Oone do any better?”, my straight anwer is: “find a better name” 😀 otherwise they will be “no-one”…
If you use high end specifiications and quality materials then why still use a SOC with a closed source and mediocre GPS if there are perhaps better alternatives? Probably their first model will be called Oone Plus Plus One (OPPO) 😉
They just need to fix the GPS module. Truth be told, MediaTek is finally catching up with Qualcomm and Samsung, especially with their new chips. If the MTK Nexus actually becomes a reality, we could see MTK open their sources soon.
I’m not sure to be honest. A lot of people say the GPS reception on the new batch of 8-core phones is fantastic. Then there’s the bunch who say the GPS is slightly better than before, but still pretty bad. The ZP998 I had my hands on was pretty good, the same goes for a Note 3 clone I tried out.
