100+ V6: $270 Octa-Core Phone Available May 5th, Currently For China Only

100+ is a manufacturer of phones and tablets, and they just revealed the release date and price of their latest effort: The V6, and it might be worth a look as yet another affordable and powerful octa-core phone, if you’re in China.

The V6 sets itself apart from other octacore phones on the market by being one of the few models boasting an octacore MT6592 chipset running at 2.0Ghz. It also sports 2GB of RAM, a 5.5 inch 1920 x 1080 screen, either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, a 3,200mAh battery, a 13MP back facing camera and a 5MP front facing camera.

It comes in four colors: White, Iron, Silver and Copper. It is 8.4mm thick.

Gizchina News of the week

Beyond just pure hardware numbers, the V6 has a few other things going for it as well. For starters, it has a touch sensitive back, designed to make controlling the large device with one hand possible. Its 13MP camera is also more than meets the eye. Created by Sony, it comes with a f/2.2 aperture, 28mm wide lens and 5P infrared sensor. It is also able to take ten high quality pictures a second, making getting the perfect shot a breeze. Music fans will also be happy to know that the V6 has Dolby audio too.

It all sounds great until we look at the network and frequency support which unfortunatly only covers 2G GSM and 3G TD-SCDMA networks, hopefully we’ll see a WCDMA model launch in the near future. In the meantime you can take a look at the rest of the specifications over on the official website.

100+. They’re going straight for OnePlus, aren’t they? Well, if they can launch a great product then I don’t mind.

Hmmm…with WDCMA this will definitely fit the bill. Any way to get some English specs on it? SD card? etc.

Very nice looking phone. The specs are super nice has metal body for strength. The price is a bit high I think resellers will add 50$ more for sure.
I’m waiting Jiayu to make a phone like this but it will take a while.
