Meizu MX4 fans renders, is this what Meizu fans want?

meizu mx4 render

Fan renders posted on the Meizu forums give us an insight at what Chinese Meizu fans are hoping the Meizu MX4 will look like, what do you guys think?

Larger screen and thinner bezels, are the main features which fans in China are apparently hoping for (well at least the person who put these simple renders together). There is little to distinguish the above renders from the MX3, other than the large display and narrow body, which should keep the overall size of the new phone down. The images also show a new look live lock screen which appears to show the current weather.

Gizchina News of the week

Since the first Meizu MX phone, little has changed in the design, and that’s fine as it is currently one of the better looking (and made) flagship phones on the market, but what other features do Meizu fans (outside of China) hope from their next smatphone.

4G LTE, more RAM, and updated front and rear cameras are on my personal wish list, a removable battery, fast charging and SD card would all also be good too (but unlikely). What would you guy’s like to see from the Meizu MX4?

Please let it have an sd card slot
Not everyone has enough money for the 64gb or 128gb versions

Super thin bezels seems only possible with the buttons on the back, not on the side. Soms people hate this. Look at the G2 and the upcoming LG G3

The phone with the thinnest bezels ,Sharp Aquos XX, has buttons on the side.

Is it true for people in Europe & North America that when it is released they should choose the Hong Kong version of the phone, as this version will contain GApps & will have chinese apps removed ?

    • May 7, 2014

It’s quite easy to get Gapps on Meizu phones, but the models in the EU should be coming from France now.

…and can someone remind them not to put the power button on the top of the device, its really annoying….

no need to use the power button at all. On the MX3 you can switch it on with the home button, swipe up to switch on and long press to switch it off. 🙂

Well it is not about the position to unlock the phone, but the position when you have your phone in the pocket of your trousers. Sometimes my MX3 turns accidently off in my pocket when it touches the power button. A button on the side will not have this problem

Please, make it an Ubuntu phone (maybe dual booting Android-Flyme OS). 4.5″ screen and 5.5″ version. Onscreen buttons. Surpass the Ubuntu Edge prototype specs and you’ll win. 64 bits Qualcomm SD 810 CPU, 4GB+ RAM, 128 GB eMMC + 128GB cloud space, 8-13mpx GOOD camera (at least as good as MX3’s), special battery to keep up alive 24h good usage…
