Chinese Android tablets running Mediatek octacore chipsets are now benefitting from the recent Android 4.4 Kitkat updates.

The Chuwi VX3 is marketed, and styled, like a super huge Android phone or phablet, but at 7-inch we really can’t bring ourselves to call it anything other than a tablet. A tablet with the same call, SMS and connectivity features as a phone that is!

Retail pricing for the Chuwi is just $217, a good price indeed but even better after a closer look at the specification highlights that include a 7-inch 1920 x 1080 FHD display, octacore MT6592 processor, 2GB RAM, micro SD card and dual SIM support allowing the tablet the flexibility to connect over WIFI, GSM or 3G networks.

The Chuwi also gets dual cameras, 3000mAh battery, Android 4.4 Kitkat and can be ordered internationally online now.

3000 mAh battery for a 7″ FHD tablet? How long will the battery last? I was hoping for at least a 4000 mAh battery.
