Cube recently announced the U25GT, a tablet that comes with a 7-inch display and a new MediaTek processor.
Touted as an entry-level slate, the U25GT features the unheared-of MediaTek MT8127 chipset that packs a 4 core chipset clocked at 1.3GHz. Like other productions from the Taiwan-based fabricator, the MT8127 too features Cortex A7 cores along with 1GB of RAM to comprise the processing department on the tablet. While the resolution on the 7-inch display isn’t yet specified, we’re told the unit features the IPS technology and comes from Samsung facilities, which is quite impressive for a tablet maker of Cube’s calibre.

Elementary stages of storage will be taken care of by the 8GB on-board NAND, after which users have to supply a microSD card to expand available space to enjoy their multimedia. Speaking of multimedia, a Mali 450 GPU is what sits besides the 4 core CPU, taking care of the graphics on the device. All this in conjunction, we’re told, takes the device’s AnTuTu score to over 20,000 points. This also gives us insight into the MT8127 chipset, which more or less looks like a tablet optimized version of the MT6582.
The connectivity suite on the Cube U25GT is made up of Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, GPS, FM radio and HDMI out. Cube haven’t specified the pricing as well, but given the maker’s track record, you can expect it to be wallet-friendly.
