Meizu are full of surprises these days, but no one thought that they would launch a sub brand, something which they will officially unveil in just 7 days.
Headed up by Meizu boss Li Nan, Bigertech will come under the Meizu umbrella and will focus on marketing for the smartphone company in China. Although details are still sketchy the idea seems to be similar to the OnePlus/Oppo relationship with the former handling marketing for the latter.
Gizchina News of the week
The bigertech.com website currently consists of a countdown showing a smartphone (that looks like the Meizu MX3) an iPad Mini style tablet with ‘Meizu’ Halo home button, smartwatch, and a pair of (smart?) glasses.
There have been rumours that Meizu might launch as many as 5 smartphones this year with low/mid-range devices running Mediatek processors. Could this be what Bigertech will be marketing? Or do Meizu have something else up their sleeves?

Meizu is taking a very wise step ..covering all bases..Meizu for high end..bg for low and mid end..
Must say, this is very exciting.
Those glasses… 3D?
Love to see what tablet they bring out !
My God! They’re copying everything (last month there was a post on MiKey)! Even strategies!! This one seems borrowed from the OPPO – OPO connection.
it’s cool for us customer’s, because other companies have to low prices to compete!
That pen is gorgeous.
Andi or someone,
Can you please explain what is going on with Bigertech? Seems there is some sort o promotion going on or the world cup when you go to the website…. Excited to find out what is the scoop!
