It was revealed today that ZTE will release a WCDMA version of the low-cost Redbull V5 with 2GB RAM on 27th May.
The ZTE Redbull V5 originally launched earlier this year as a 799 Yuan smartphone with 4G LTE support and 1GB RAM for China Mobile customers, the new updated version of the V5 will not only support China Unicom’s WCDMA (and international) 3G networks but will also receive a boost in memory to 2GB RAM and 8GB ROM.
Gizchina News of the week
Other features of the new ‘advanced’ version of the ZTE Redbull V5 include a 5-inch 720p display, 5 mega-pixel front camera, 13 mega-pixel rear, 2400mAh battery, dual SIM support , 1.2Ghz Qualcomm MSM8X26 processor and Nubia UI version 2.0 based on Android 4.3. Worryingly there is no mention of 4G LTE (which makes sense as China Unicom don’t currently offer the service) but fingers crossed this 999 Yuan phone will offer it.
With LTE and a soon coming upgrade to Kitkat that would be a great phone.
i saw on aliexpress it’s support lte. is that true ?
It’s true but it’s not the WCDMA version.
@andy & @abbie does it have a main camera of SONY ? if Yes please mention the model of camera
China Unicom currently offer TD-LTE services…
Yes, but only in the 3G Version.
What do you mean? They offer TD-LTE in addition to HSDPA/WCDMA.
There is already a phone from Coolpad that supports TD-LTE from China Unicom as well as WCDMA.
LTE, Kitkat, 2G RAM = too good to be true.
There are two versions. The version with 1G RAM has 4G. The version with 2G RAM only has 3G.

There are too versions. The device with 1GB RAM has 4G.
Will it get MIUI ROM support as Nubia phones already got?
Will there be any reviews of it ?
