Today on Weibo, sources close to ZTE leaked detail of a new ZTE phone running the much anticipated octaocre Mediatek processor with 4G LTE support.
A white ZTE phone with 5-inch 720p display and 2GB RAM could be the first smartphone in the world to be offered with an LTE enabled processor from Taiwanese chip maker Mediatek. Leaked on Weibo earlier today the specifications , which include an 8 mega-pixel rear camera, 2300mAh battery, dual SIM support and 16GB memory, suggest the whilte bodied ZTE will be a low-cost smartphone and may even become part of the current Redbull line up (which consists of the 799 Yuan Redbull V5).

With these specifications in mind, plus the current trend towards phones going on sale as close to cost price as possible could mean the new ZTE will be competing in the 999 Yuan sector of the phone market against the Xiaomi Redmi Note and latest Huawei Honor phones.
Hi Andi, will this be the MTK6592 chip with the MTK6590 4G enabled radio chip or is it the upcoming 6595?
Heh, we are all waiting for the 6595. Only the Meizu MX4G is rumored to use it.
I imagine it will be the 6590 coprocessor that provides the 4G’ness.
From from what I’ve heard the Meizu will be using the new Samsung Exynos processor and not a Mediatek one.

Only Chinese LTE and not Worldwide LTE. There are no Chinese LTE phones working outside of China.
ZTE does NOT have international LTE. There are no Chinese smartphones yet that support international 4G, it works only in China.
So be careful when trying to buy Chinese smartphones when you want 4G. With 3G it works fine, like the Xiaomi Redmi, but for LTE there is no Chinese smartphone yet that will work in Europe or the US.
I think you are wrong, some ZTE have FDD LTE and other Chinese phones (Huawei…) already have FDD LTE.
