Got an iOcean X8? Want to run the beta version of Android 4.4 Kitkat on it? Then take advantage of this download right now.
Last week iOcean told us that they had released a beta version of Andorid 4.4 Kitkat for the flagship iOcean X8, an octacore smartphone with Gorilla Glass panels front and rear. After the announcement we asked iOcean if they could release the beta for GizChina.com readers and they have agreed to do so.

iOcean X8 Android Kitkat Beta download
Before downloading and installing this Android 4.4 Beta version on your iOcean X8 please keep in mind that this is a Beta and their are bugs. The sole purpose of installing this beta will be to report any bugs to us so we can pass them on to iOcean to help improve the final build. If you are not 100% happy with running a buggy OS then do not install this ROM.

if only you guys were able to find the kit kat beta for the Zopo zp998’s out in the wild.
no need for 4.4 but I would buy a MT6595 powered X8 in a heartbeat!

No instruction how to install it? cause used recovery didnt work tried sp flashtool, samoe not workin
Instructions not included as this is only really ready for developers who don’t need them.
this answer is a very stupid, because you wrote about this and encourage to testing
Thats strange, i thought we can test it and report back, if we were developers we could adjust bugs.. even iocean site recruited people for testing, these people must have had instruction how to install.
My point is, if you need instructions to install then you shouldn’t be installing it. This is a buggy beta ROM, not something you can use for daily use.
its ok, i can try.. i know how to install and flash roms.. but this one is not working with both methods. thats why i asked. any way, if u can ask iocean developers that would be kind of you. i have posted a request on their forums. but dont know how many can actually understand what i am asking for.
Any one else succeeded in installing this rom? please let me know. Thanks

I don’t know if it’s a problem of the model or of my own X8, but I have very low volume during calls. I really hope the KK rom will solve this issue (and the Facebook FC issue).
