It might not get all the flashy headlines that the International Consumer Electronics Show gets, but the Taipei located consumer electronic show is quickly being built into a viable place for companies both large and small to show off their wares.
CTVE might not be a household name, even among Gizchina readers, but they nevertheless debuted the A580 mid-budget phone at Computex, and depending on how CTVE prices it, it could be a very competitive device.
The CTVE A580 (it will get a consumer friendly name in the future) boasts a 1.7Ghz Octa-Core MediaTek CPU (MTK6592) 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It has a 720p 5-inch display, WCDMA/GSM (WCDMA for 3G) dual-sim support and a nice white finish.
Gizchina News of the week
What gives the CTVE A580 a leg up over other mid-level phones however, is its camera. The CTVE A580 has a 13 megapixel back camera and a 5 megapixel selfie camera. Those aren’t top of the line and there is more to cameras than megapixels at this point, but that combination wouldn’t have seemed out of place in a flagship phone from just a few months ago.
Reportedly, the phone will ship with Android 4.4,
As mentioned, no pricing to release date have been announced. Its RAM does leave a bit to be desired but it is still a very capable phone and some people are going to like that 13 megapixel shooter.

This one looks darn a lot like the Kingzone K1(S). I would bet a bit that they share the same molding. 🙂
150$ or less, else a market failure.
