Huawei might soon launch the Ascend D2 in LTE flavour in the neighboring market of India.
GadgetsToUse spotted an entry in the import data of India which lists the Huawei Ascend D2. According to the listing, the Chinese company imported at least 20 units of the Ascend D2 for testing purposes between 26 May and 16 June this year. This could mean that an Indian launch is on its way, but we’ll wait for an official word from Huawei.
Gizchina News of the week
The Ascend D2 is well over a year old now, having seen a release in January last year. It’s specifications would remind you of a typical 2013 flagship – a 5-inch 1920 x 1080p display, a 1.5GHz quad-core CPU (this time, the Huawei K3V2), 2GB RAM, 32GB on-board, non-expandable storage, and an imaging department consisting of a 13 mega-pixel rear and 1.3 mega-pixel front shooters.
A 3000mAh battery powers this flagship from 2013, something which is very much needed to supply the power-hungry LTE antenna.
Even though LTE networks in India are really only in their inception phase, Chinese manufacturers certainly don’t want to miss out on grabbing a share before anyone else, or so it looks.
