Huawei have been taking more ideas from Xiaomi’s book this year than we care to remember. On top of new marketing and new phones, they also now have their own media hub with built-in storage to offer tech fans.
Huawei’s Honor range of devices are simply the most exciting products to come our of Huawei for years. Currently the line up is made of phones with great specs and equally great pricing, but a new device is also waiting in the ranks to emerge.
Gizchina News of the week
The Huawei router/media hub, which should officially launch on June 24th, is a similar product to Xiaomi’pro router but runs 2 separate processors and 2 OS’s including Android. When launched we can expect to see 1GB RAM plus 4G eMMC, dual CPU parallel processing and even the ability to load apps. Storage will start at 1TB but the device will be compatible with up to 4TB!
Ports on the back include HDMI, Ethernet, SD card and a USB. The inclusion of a headphone jack and HDMI suggest that this will be more of a media hub rather than simple storage device. Pricing is yet to be determined but expect something very keen!
24th June is when we will get the full lowdown on this and the Huawei Honor 6 flagship device.
