Indian e-commerce giant Flipkart today announced the launch of its first ever tablet, the Flipkart Digiflip Pro XT712. Even though the name leaves a lot to be desired, Flipkart have gotten a few things right with the device.
First, it goes for 10,000 INR; usually the last stop for a first-time tablet buyer in India. Second, it comes with dual SIM which is a massively popular feature in the market in India, where users like to use separate SIMs for data and voice, depending on who’s offering what. Much like the Amazon Fire Phone, the tablet is partly aimed at getting some extra business on Flipkart.

If the version of Android and CPU clock ring a bell in your mind, consider yourself smart. Yes, it is a MediaTek processor in there as well; the MT6582 or a derivative thereof. Going against local big guns such as Micromax, Karbonn is going to be a tough job, something which isn’t aided by the presence of other mighty makers in Samsung and ASUS.
