4G LTE phone prices are already set to dive for Chinese mainland shoppers as TCL are readying the $65 TCL P331M and PC301M phones.
Both TCL models are designed for use on China Mobile’s LTE network, but in this case China Mobile are using TD-LTE which can actually be used in some places outside of China. The phones are based on the quad-core MT6582 chip with a Mediatek LTE MT6290 Modem, 512mb RAM, Android 4.4 Kitkat and 5 mega-pixel main camera.
The only differences from the spes I can see between the models is the size of the display. The more affordable TCL P301 has a 4-inch WVGA panel, but the 499 Yuan TCL P331M has a 4.5-inch screen.
Both phones should be on sale in China within the month, TCL and Alcatel haven’t yet announced any plans to launch outside of the country.
