Breaking news just in is that Xiaomi and Flipkart have come to an agreement that will see Xiaomi products go on sale in India as soon as mid July.
According to bgr.in, Xiaomi have made a deal with India’s Flipkart to sell the mid-range Xiaomi Redmi and flagship Mi3 through their E-commerce sites. The deal will see Xiaomi India import the products and Flipkart selling them, but it is unknown if this will be an exclusive deal or not.

Apparently Xiaomi could now launch their phones in India as early as Mid July and with the Redmi priced at under Rs. 10,000 and the Xiaomi Mi3 between Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 20,000 we expect demand to outstrip supply.
In addition to phones Xiaomi are also reported to be launching the popular Xiaomi 10,400mAh battery for around Rs. 1000.

Good news for Indian customers. However to succeed in long run, Xiaomi should not keep all the eggs in same basket. They should launch different models with different e-partners.
Andy one more thing, When I open gizchina link in browers like crome or opera, the comment window never appear, but when i open the same link with firefox, I see the comment window. Is there any challenge from your end ?

Another site reports that it is going to be Redmi 1s for ₹ 8500 …i.e. about $ 140……that would be a killer price in July 14..but delay it & xiaomi will have to drop price..
