Hisense joining the Windows Phone arena with the MIRA6

After Microsoft dropped licensing fees for mobile phones for Windows Phone OS, Indian and now Chinese phone makers are starting to make use of the alternate operating system.

Qingdao’s, Hisense electronics company have decided to be one of the first to introduce a Windows-based phone for the local market.. The MIRA6 will feature a 5-inch screen, possibly a 720p unit, a 1.2GHz Qualcomm quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory which of course will be expandable. It will also support dual SIM cards and even 4G TD-LTE. An 8 mega pixel rear camera and 5 mega pixel front take up positions on the exterior of the 7.18mm thin body.

Hisense unfortunately did not reveal the price of the MIRA6, but judging be the hardware and previous Hisense phones we don’t expect it to be expensive. International customers will likely have to wait however, as the phone appears to only support networks in China for now.
