If you were one of the lucky few to win a OPO invite in the “Storm of Invites” giveaway, then prepared to have your enthusiasm dashed as those phones will be delayed.
In another whirlwind promotion, OnePlus offered the chance to win 1 of 2500 invitations to win a chance to buy the OnePlus One “2014 Flagship Killer”. Those winners have now been issued their invitations and fans are already putting in orders, but shipping and delivery will be delayed!
Apparently an “issue” has occurred where large shipments of phones headed to the U.S and Europe have been delayed, putting shipping times back. The good news is that fans who ordered there OnePlus One will actually receive them, the bad news it will take an extra 20 days for them to arrive.

So what are the reasons for the delays? Production conflicts, low-yield rate (of the sandstone) rear cover, incomplete clearance documents, timezone differences and lastly weekends are the main reasons for the delayed delivery.
If you are one of the affected customers then you should be receiving your tracking number by 9th July.
You may also want to be aware that some fans receiving their OnePlus One were asked to pay tax on their orders. I myself had to pay almost 50 Euros for my sandstone OnePlus One to be released, OnePlus have offered to reimburse me.
