Xiaomi’s Mi3 might be about ripe for an update but that hasn’t stopped the Beijing based phone maker launching a special gold version of the phone.
With rumours of the Xiaomi Mi3S and Mi4 hitting headlines, it might be easy to forget about the coronet Xiaomi flagship (despite recent price cuts). However, if you can make room in your life for the Mi3 this late in to its lifespan you might want to choose the new gold version of the phone.
Gizchina News of the week
The Gold Xiaomi Mi3 gets the same 1499 Yuan price tag as the other models, but being a last generation flagship means last gen specs so no LTE, and you have to suffer with ‘just’ a 5-inch 1080p display, and ‘only’ a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset.
So what about the next Xiaomi flagship? Well rumours suggest the new phone will be the best yet and will get an all metal body, Snapdragon 805, or possibly Tegra K1 chip and of course LTE.
Well, great, but I still don’t see where I could buy the Mi3 for about $240…
In China. Or any Xiaomi supported country.
Yupp… 🙁
Well In Malaysia Xiaomi sell RM769 is about USD242.00
Still sad. I live in Europe :/
