OnePlus Lettuce aka OnePlus Two in the works

@evleaks strikes again with the possible code name for the next generation OnePlus phone, the OnePlus 2 aka “Lettuce”.

Today @evleaks sent out a message through Twitter, that OnePlus is already working on the successor to the much sought after OnePlus One. The phone which will most likely be called OnePlus Two in the end, will be developed under the codename “Lettuce”. The OnePlus One was called “bacon”. So what will come next? Cheese or patty? (Andi’s note: most likely “Tomato”)

Gizchina News of the week

Well, let’s become serious again! In case this leak is true, what do you think the OnePlus Two aka Lettuce will boast on the hardware side? Price will allegedly stay the same, just with better specs. Will they go 64-bits or 2k?

Whatever it’ll be, lets just hope that all the troubles around the One will be resolved before they are going to start serious development works on their vegetable phone.

They should just concentrate on releasing their 1st phone before working on the 2nd one. This has to be a hoax otherwise OPO are even more stupid than they already appear to be!

maybe you should understand that those people which create the design of the oneplus phones, are not the same people which build it and send it to you?

Your so funny! A company that’s been promising a ‘flagship killer’ for more months than I care to remember, still not available for the general public to buy, specs that are starting to be bettered by other manufacturers and all they can do is ‘leak’ it’s replacement! And you think I’M stupid!! Go back and keep smoking whatever it is your on as its clearly really good stuff 😉

you clearly don’t know what a designer differs from a manufacteurer

in a company like Samsung with thousands of employees you are correct they are completely different departments and often in different countries. But a small startup (even one owned by OPPO/BKK) might have 50 employees working out of one office.

I don’t know why do people still think they are a start up company!

look at this thread on their forum and still tell me they are a start up company! :

They are no a startup in the traditional sense as they are owned by BBK (one of the largest electronic companies in the world). But they are a startup in the sense that they operate independently of Oppo/BBK.

are you telling me that 50 people are working in their manufacturing and delivery/warehouse department?

No I’m telling you the team making decisions about the future is the same team making decisions about availability and sales.

OnePlus International and OnePlus China are too different departments to consider though

I worked for small tech start-ups like this in the past (even one that was owned by Sony). They all run basically the same way. Once a week (or even once a day) all the department heads meet to discuss everything from sales to support to production and anything in between. So while the “international” and “china” are more than likely working side by side.

OPO created the “shortage” on purpose to create the illusion that their product was ultra exclusive, it worked better than they ever could have hoped. I don’t think they intentionally made so few devices, I think they really were shocked by the enormous demand. Having said that they aren’t like most startups they are financially backed by one of the largest electronics companies in the world and if they really wanted to flood the market they could.

i never said that there wouldn’t be a purposed shortage… it’s just that oneplus international is dependent on oneplus china’s decisions i guess… it’s well known that scalpers trade it outside of china and oneplus in china wanted to fill up demand first… there is some special kind of contract between them

The secondhand market is flooded with them but you will pay more. Antelife has the international version for $432.99. That’s on the cheaper end as I saw one website selling it for almost $600. Amazingly there is enough stock for them but not for customers. I am so beyond done with this shady company I wouldn’t take the phone for $1 if they offered me it. Flagships with better specs at the same price point are starting to be released now and you can actually buy them.
