As we reported some days back, the Micromax Canvas HD A190 is finally official with a hexa-core processor and Android KitKat.
On sale with a price tag of 13,500 INR ($225) in India, the smartphone comes with MediaTek’s first hexa-core chipset, i.e., the MT6591. It runs at a clock frequency of 1.5GHz through the 6 cores, and on the Micromax Canvas HD A190, has 1GB of RAM to go along with.
Unlike the Karbonn Titanium Hexa that went on sale some months back, the Canvas HD A190 has only a 5-inch, 720p HD screen. You can expect the performance on this one to be a notch better than the quad-core MediaTek breed, but it might make sense to go for an octa-core phone if you’re looking for one.
Gizchina News of the week
Coming back to the Canvas HD A190, the device comes with an 8 mega-pixel rear camera and a 2 mega-pixel front to make for the imaging department on the smartphone. Lastly, a 2000mAh battery powers the internals, with software control taken charge of by Google’s Android v4.4 KitKat.
With octa-core phones such as the Wickedleak Wammy Neo Youth available for just 8,500 INR, would you consider a phone like the Canvas HD A190 as your next?
