After seeing details of the iOcean X8 Mini, we have to say that the specifications for the iOcean X8 Mini Pro are much more like what we expect.
iOcean got off to a slow start this year. After launching a couple of updated X7 models, the X8 took months to get off the ground. Finally they seem to be back up to speed and will have more new models on offer very soon.
The first of which is the iOcean X8 mini, which we have covered before, and in all honestly are not to interested with. The iOcean X8 Mini Pro though is a pouch better looking device, and one that will appeal to more iOcean fans.
Gizchina News of the week
Taking the X8 design and shrinking it down to 5-inch is a great start, but while the standard Mini goes on to reduce hardware and specification, the X8 mini pro leaves most of the features intact.
iOcean have kept the 1.7Ghz octacore MT6592 chipset, 2GB RAM, 32GB memory and Android 4.4 Kitkat of the larger X8, and have only downsized the battery to 2200mAh and the cameras, 8 mega-pixel front 2 mega-pixel rear.
Manufacture is the same too with a glass front and metal chassis creating a phone a lot like the Oppo R1 in looks and reassuring only 7.6mm. Now if they can do the same with an LTE chip and 13 mega-pixel camera and iOcean could be on to a real winner.
