Another LTE Zopo has been spotted and this time with video, but is the Zopo ZP520 really the best Zopo can do?

LTE is finally rolling out on Chinese devices and with more manufacturers adding support for 4G networks we can expect some really competitive devices. The Zopo ZP520 isn’t going to be one of them though. True to form Zopo have given the ZP520 is a good-looking design, hampered low specifications.

Zopo have really had a shocking year. After the launch of the octacore Zopo ZP998, each phone they have released since has suffered from below average hardware. Zopo might have been able to get away with this in the past but with not any longer. Xiaomi, Huawei, and even Doogee offer better hardware for the money.

Gizchina News of the week

So what are the specs of the ZP520? Well the processor is a quad-core MT6582M processor, 5.5-inch 960 x 540 display, 8 mega-pixel main camera, 2 mega-pixel front, 1GB RAM and Android 4.4.2 Kitkat. There is of course LTE, dual SIM and room for a Micro SD.

As you can possibly tell we aren’t to impressed with the latest Zopo ZP520, and we wonder how long the company can keep going rolling out hardware like this.

Do you think we are being to harsh? Is the Zopo ZP520 not as bad as we are making out? Let us know what you think.

Specs can be considered ok,but the price is triple what it’s worth. LTE or not, the rest still weighs more.

Though I consider them to be a strong brand and i’ve never had the usual issues reported by others, I agree with you.
We’re at a point where if you cease to be competitive both in specs and price, not forgetting overall design, then you would start losing, support, customers and whatever market share you do have.
Lets hope that these poor offerings soon become a thing of the past with the launch of a brand newly designed Zopo unit running MTK’s newly released 4G LTE big LITTLE Octa Core SoC.
