India based XOLO have announced the A700S smartphone with a 4.5-inch screen and dual-core CPU for 7,299 INR ($120).
In line with Apple’s and Xiaomi’s naming conventions, the A700S is a successor of the A700 that released previously. The 4.5-inch display panel on the device contains 960 x 540 pixels, churning out out a not-so-impressive pixel density of 245ppi. A MediaTek MT6572 dual-core CPU runs the show along with 1GB of RAM, making the price tag look ridiculous for a phone of today. A standard 4GB ROM sits in the hood, expandable via microSD by up to 32GB.

Specifications
- 4.5-inch 960 x 540p display
- 1.3GHz dual-core CPU
- 1GB RAM
- 4GB on-board ROM
- 5 mega-pixel rear camera
- VGA front facing camera
- 1800mAh battery
- Android v4.2 Jelly Bean
The imaging side of things is taken care of by a lacklustre 5 mega-pixel rear camera and a VGA front. Lastly, the A700S gets an 1800mAh battery which pretty much seals the deal, but in the negative. Other devices in this range such as the Micromax Unite, Motorola Moto E and of course, the Xiaomi Redmi 1S look like a much better deal.
To add to the woes, the A700S runs Android v4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, which means user would be running quite an outdated iteration on a new device.
