FreakTab have one cool bunch of devs, that support a whole lot of Chinese devices from TV boxes to tablets. They’re among those few places that deal in stuff we talk about – Chinese tech.
A group of devs from the community have announced their own hardware, a TV box. Priced at only $149 for the 32GB version with free shipping, the Freakbox will come with a 1.6GHz quad-core CPU (Rockchip RK3188), 2GB of DDR3 RAM and will come with dual band – 2.4GHz/5GHz – WiFi to make sure you get through even in the densest of concrete forests.

You might be thinking, this sounds a hell lot like the Minix Neo X7, and you’re right. However, the devs claim that they’re going to provide 2 year support for the device, which is something very desirable.
I had once worked with Finless Bob of FreakTab for a little project, and it was quite an experience! So if you’re among those who love firmware updates (and stick to a device long enough), then take a look at the Freakbox for once!
