Chinese phone makers have an obsession with building ultra thin Android smartphones, and it simply is not going away. Start-up Wico (not to be confused with Wiko) have announced their first phone will be the 5.5mm thick Wico C1.
Starting a new phone brand in a saturated market like ours is a tricky decision to make. You are either going to sink, like FAEA, or you’re going to swim like Xiaomi, so it is important to start your band as you mean to go on.
Gizchina News of the week
The first phone from Wico, the Wico C1, is a very promising start. The phone design is not dissimilar from the LG G3, and has bezels so narrow that they appear to not exist at all! The 5.5-inch phone has a 720p display, 13 mega-pixel camera on the back and 8 mega-pixel on the front.
A 5.5mm body, along with the super narrow screen bezels, is designed to keep the C1 comfortable in even the smallest of hands too. What’s surprising is that although the phone is thin it still manages to conceal a 3050mAh battery inside!
It will be interesting to see what Wico end up offering the C1 by way of features. If they can get LTE and a decent amount of RAM inside they could be on to something!

I like it! Good sized battery and almost bezeless it is indeed a promising start, just need to know when it will be released and more importantly the price!
Nice looking phone.
