Flipkart, an online retailer based in India that happens to be the biggest of them all, just pulled off something today it probably would’ve been better off without!
In a comedy of errors, buyers of the Windows Phone 8.1 powered XOLO Win Q900S reported today that they received not the WP version, but the Android of the device. As WMPowerUser reports, buyers were surprised to find the device running the Android OS instead of Windows Phone, which they signed up for.
However, getting a return is easy, and if you are one of the buyers of the Q900S that received the Android version, you can simply contact the Flipkart customer service to get the Android version picked up from your place and a WP unit delivered free of cost.

The XOLO Win Q900S was launched as the ‘lightest smartphone’, and with the Windows Phone OS, is quite a fair deal at under 10,000 INR ($166). Those based in India can get their hands on the device via Flipkart among other online and offline stores.
i contacted flipkart 3 times via call and one time via email. they gave me deafline of today 3:30 pm but , till this time none has redressed my issue of wrong xolo win q900s . when i called again today, they again gave me deadline of 30 july 4pm. what a way to fool customers and do farud. i have never expected this from flipkart. i was assured from customer care before buying the product by call and via email that i will definetly get windows version of xolo win q900s , and if by accident i get the wrong phone they would immediately provide refund and return within prescribed time frame. I am really very sad and disappointed by this behavior of flipkart.
Hi Rajendra,
Sorry to know Flipkart haven’t treated you well. Hope you get the correct phone soon. In any case, keep posted to fellow readers can stay updated.
It’s a Baniya run business. What else do you expect?
Mikesh ji i also started an e commerce website of smartphonesfew months back . and faced similar problem , but i provided immediate refund within 3 hours into the bank account of customer. Although website suffered loss because of many fake orders and courier companies were not ready to deliver my orders by Cash on delivery as my website was new.but the main thingh is to provide clear answer to customer. Today i revieved the call from flipkart due to my numerous attempts and emails to them , they finally told me that a Courier pick is arranged. Magar jab paise account me aa jaye tab mano sab sahi, abhi to bas process shuru hui hai. Let’s hope its done quickly.
