Lenovo’s 6-inch Vibe Z2 Pro is set to launch next week, but could the new owner of Motorola also be planning to launch a mini version of the phone too?
The Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro is another attempt by Lenovo to break out in to the mainstream and promises to offer high-end specification and performance. In reality though, so did the past few Lenovo flagship phones, but despite their great features none really managed to hit the mark.
According to spy photos, Lenovo might be planning to double its chance of success this time around and might be launching a Mini version of their flagship phone. The above spy photo shows the 6-inch Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro next to a similar looking but smaller (possibly 5.5-inch Lenovo phone).
Gizchina News of the week
Recent mini phones from Chinese manufacturers have been better than previous attempts as they have featured hardware similar to their larger brothers rather than being poorly spec’d low-end devices. The latest Nubia Z7 range is a good example, and one we hope Lenovo are following.
Lenovo haven’t officially given any details of the unknown Mini Vibe Z2, but that hasn’t stopped Chinese tech sites speculate that it will have a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 2GB RAM and Snapdragon 801 processor.

That would be a great alternative. No need for a power sucking 2k screen. Give it an sd slot which is the only thing the K910 lacked, a 3500mah+ battery, DSFA, lte/pentaband wcdma and I’ll buy it in a heartbeat.
the phone on the left looks like the old lenovo k900 which I really liked the design of and nearly bought. I’d definitely be interested in it if it has 4g and optical image stabilisation.
Really now ? Since when the hell is a 5.5 inch screen phone a mini. I have a coleague that has a 5.5 inch K910 and it’s ridiculously big in my opinion.
Even 5 inch a bit large for a mini but that would be the max size I’m willing to carry around in my pocket.
I used to think so too until I started using a 5.5 phone. I went straight from 4.7 to 5.5 and it seemed too much. Now when I use my daughters 5 inch it seems small. Try it, it’s addictive.
No way, what’s too much is too much. Even a 5 inch one seems to much for me, it barely fits in my pocket and I just don’t want such a big phone.
I just want some choice and I’ve heard several people demanding smaller screen phones.
Not all people will think the same, yes even those who have tried large phone.
