Chinese phone maker THL have sent us details of their new LTE phone for foreign markets, the THL L969.
THL aren’t waiting for Mediatek to release their first purpose built LTE processors, and like many other phone makers are making do with the MT6290 LTE Modem solution to bring 4G at a low price. The THL L969, a phone designed specifically for foreign markets uses the LTE Modem in conjunction with a quad-core MT6582 chipset and supports FDD-LTE, WCDMA and GSM frequencies with dual-sim support.

A 5-inch display with FWVGA resolution and 1GB RAM are obvious cost cutting choices, but it is great to see THL have managed to squeeze a 2700mAh battery and Android 4.4.2 in to the budget.
THL are already supplying international resellers with the L969 which can be bought for just $180.
