IUNI confirm IUNI U3 will come with 2K display

IUNI continue to roll out leaks for their next flagship phone, which they have confirmed will feature a 2K display!

2K screen technology has been available for a while but currently only Vivo and Oppo, in China, have taken the opportunity to use the ultra high resolution displays. Soon though IUNI will be joining them with their new IUNI U3 smartphone.

Like Xiaomi, IUNI are a ROM maker who decided to spread the word of their custom OS by creating high specification but affordable Android smartphones. Their first device, the IUNI U2, launched earlier this year and surprised the Chinese tech world for its low 1999 Yuan price but flagship features, all alloy body and Snapdragon 800 processor.

We are not sure if IUNI will continue to produce phones at the 1999 Yuan price point, but if they do they will be the first to bring 2K resolution and LTE to that extremely competitive price point.

Gizchina News of the week

For users outside of China the only issue will be lack of English as the IUNI ROM only offers Chinese language. The good news is that if IUNI are using a 2K display for their new phone then it is likely that their big brother Gionee will too in the Elife E8 when it finally launches in various markets around the world.

The IUNI U3 and Gionee Elife E8 both made it in to our top 7 flagship Chinese phone that we can’t wait to see yesterday!
