Chinese phone maker VK have posted full specifications of their new phone with LTE, the VK 1000, and that it will be easily available in Europe in the coming weeks.
VK are on of the new growing breed of Chinese phone makers that are targeting European customers with their low-cost, entry-level Android smartphones. Like DOOGEE, VK have been shipping cheap phones to EU citizens for the past year and have been gaining a small but loyal following.
Gizchina News of the week
Their next phone will be the VK 1000, which makes use of an energy-efficient quad-core MT6582M 1.2Ghz processor and MT6290 modem to allow the phone to use faster 4G LTE data networks. VK are obviously hoping to reach customers on a serious budget who really feel the need for 4G, as the specs aren’t what you would call leading edge. The main camera is a 8 mega-pixel model, Android 4.2 is the system which the phone will ship with, and the 5-inch display is a 960 x 540 model.
Still pricing will be cheap and they do promise the phone will be available with shipping from the EU, so at least it should be easy to buy.
