If you though that all Xiaomi had for the 16th August was the launch of their new OS then think again as they also plan to start selling their latest LTE phone.
After a storming success early today, selling 100,00o Redmi Note LTE phones, Xioami have announced that they will being selling their more affordable 699 Yuan LTE enabled Redmi from 16th August.
Gizchina News of the week
This version of the Redmi 1S features a Mediatek MT6582 processor with MT6290 LTE modem to achieve 4G support rather than the Snapdragon 400 found in the Redmi Note. There is also just 1GB RAM , 2000 Mah battery and 8 mega-pixel main camera.
Interestingly the news of the launch comes just after Huawei announced that it’s Honor 3C with similar spec and LTE will go on sale for just 799 Yuan.
They replaced the Mediatec processor in the Redmi Note LTE to a Snapdragon and now they did the opposite in the Redmi 1s.
It seems that its battery is 2200 mAh Lithium-polymer, might be worth to buy the Redmi 1S WCDMA model and use LTE version’s battery?
