4 days until Xiaomi publicly announce MIUI V6, and to get the ball rolling another leak falls in our lap.
These images and screen shots come from the 4th beta version of MIUI V6 (MIUI 4.16.1) running on the latest Xiaomi Mi4 flagship Android phone. The style is flat, similar to Meizu’s Flyme ROM, and looks a whole lot more tidy than the current MIUI V5 ROM running on Xiaomi’s phones and tablets.
Gizchina News of the week
It’s been a while since Xiaomi has overhauled the look of their custom Android OS, and we can’t wait to see what features the new ROM has to offer.
MIUI V6 will first be available for the Xiaomi Mi3 and Mi4. Redmi, Mi Pad and even the older Xiaomi Mi2/2S will receive the update sometime later in the year.

Not impressed. UI of the year is going to Meizu’s Flyme 4.0.
I know it’s idiot to say that but this, is too similar to what Apple offered last year. MIUI proximity with iOS releases is known, and sometimes it’s for the best, but I’m appalled to say that this time it’s not exciting at all. Disapointed.
I don’t like the look with the notification bar at the top having the same color as the top of the app. If they do that, I would rather they didn’t have buttons and only the name instead at the top of the app, because it disrupts the otherwise regular grid in an unappealing way.
