Weibo is a wash with Meizu rumours today. The purported details speak of the next generation Meizu MX4 and the rumoured MX3S phone.
If you have been following the Meizu rumour ride, then you will already have heard that their will be 4 new products launched at the future Meizu launch. It’s widely believed that these 4 products will be made up of an MX3S phone and all new MX4 in various versions depending on the price.
From today’s Weibo posts the standard edition Meizu MX4, which we take to be the entry-level model, will get a 5.4-inch display (this has been confirmed in earlier leaks) and a resolution of 1800 x 1080, while the MX4 Pro will join the league of 2K phones with a resolution of 2560 x 1535.
Gizchina News of the week
As for processors the new Meizu’s are thought to be sticking with their old partner, Samsung, for their premium phones while Mediatek will be taking over the entry-level devices. It’s the Exynos 5433 that is tipped for the MX4 Pro, while further down the range we will either see the Exynos 5430 or Mediatek MT6595. The rumours also point out that Meizu haven’t forgotten their MP3 and audio roots and the new device will have dual ES9018MK2 Hi-Fi audio decoder chip built in also.
To top it all off there will be up to 3GB RAM and Flyme 4.0. It sounds like a good base, but what other features can we expect to see from the next Meizu device? What do you make of these rumours?
