Samsung have developed their newest octacore Exynos processor around 4 x Cortex A15 cores running at 1.8Ghz and 4 smaller Cortex A7 cores running at 1.3Ghz. The processor is designed to switch between the cores from big to little, hence big.LITTLE, giving the best performance while not draining your battery to quickly.
