Take the design of the OnePlus One and stuff it with Mediatek goodies to keep the cost low. That’s the secret recipe that Landvo have followed for the Landvo L200G, a $106 LTE smartphone.
With Mediatek shipping out the MT6290 LTE modem, Chinese smartphone companies have been able to easily add LTE to phones they already had in development without having to rejig too much.
Landvo, a new brand to us, have managed to do just this with their Landvo L200G, or OnePlus One clone if your prefer. The L200G is actually a 5-inch phone, so smaller than the OPO, but it has a very similar design and the same metal recessed bezel.
Gizchina News of the week
The MT6290 model offers FDD-LTE, and is connected to the quad-core MT6582 processor. It’s a shame to see that there is only 1GB RAM and 4GB memory in the phone, but at least there is Android 4.4 Kitkat.
Other details haven’t been announced, so we don’t know what camera the phone has, but we do know black and white versions will be available and that the phone will support FDD-LTE 1800/2600Mhz and WCDMA 850/1900/2100Mhz.
Chinese reseller Gearbest have the Landvo L200G on presale now for only $106.
Finally a LTE Phone, with good price and not bad design, even being a OPO wannabe.
Landvo is the newset brand of Shenzhen JINHUITENG Comunication Equipment CO, who also make Feiteng and HTM phones.
