Exclusive: Elephone P1000, Snapdragon 801, 2K and CyanogenMod!

We always knew that Elephone were a feisty company, but we didn’t realise that they had a potential to disrupt the Chinese smartphone makret! Details of the Elephone P1000 below!

Our source, an high level employ at Elephone, leaked the following images of their Elephone P1000 to us earlier today along with breath taking hardware.

Elephone, most known for their every expanding range of Mediatek phones and as being one of the first manufacturers in China to offer an Android 4.4 Kitkat update, are preparing a 2014 Flagship killer of their own.

The Elephone P1000 will be the most exciting Elephone smartphone to date with features we have not seen from the company so far. The P1000 will boast a 2.5Ghz Snapdragon 801 processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB RAM and 32GB of on board memory. This compared to their current phones is an amazing achievement!

Not wanting to spoil such a feature packed device with a lack-luster ROM, Elephone have confirmed the Elephone P1000 will run a version of CyanogenMod based on Android 4.4 Kitkat out of the box!

And if that wasn’t enough the large 5.88-inch display will be a full 2K resolution panel, there will be 4G LTE and cameras will be high-end Sony units!

Our source tells us that the Elephone P1000 is heading for an October launch date if all goes to plan. Pricing is yet unknown.

WOW!!! Thats quite a feat of an achievement from Elephone. They should keep it up. Something to lookout for I suppose and hopefully if they give it a good battery capacity and of course mSD too, and also good price to go with it, then I would start considering it.
Hopefully it will not be more expensive than Mi4 and Meizu MX4. Quite a battle going on.
They should also make it come in options of different colors. I am not a big fan of all black smartphones.

Price and they better have microSD , the 32GB NAND makes you wonder.
This also confirms that someone is making a 5.9 inch 2k panel so the leaks about a 5.9 inch Moto and/or Nexus are not 100% fake.
EDIT: the 32GB NAND might be because they they are using a multi-chip package with both NAND and RAM and it was the only way to get 3GB of RAM so hopefully it doesn’t mean no microSD.

It would be good if it was ~5.2″. 5.9″ is a joke, it’s better to buy tablet, because anyway u can’t hold it in your pocket.
P.S UI doesn’t look like CM.

  From the pics comparing to the iphone it looks about 160mm x 83mm so just slightly bigger than the Elephone P8.

  Some people prefer big screen phones specially the geeks & gamers those who dont go for OPO,OPPO Or Xiaomi Mi4,I really like they’ve increased the size of screen to made tough fight with OPO or upcoming Note4.

  But I love that it’s huge. There’s already the Mi4 at 5 inches, and the OPO, Find 7 and IUNI U3 at 5.5. Now there’s finally something for people like me who like large phones.

This looks interesting and the screen size is perfect. If this does have an October release date I’m surprised it doesn’t have the 805.

  The 805 is unlikely to get in many phones.
  Not much of an upgrade over 801, doesn’t have integrated LTE so you need a discrete chip for that and 810 might arrive sooner than people expect.

If the all specs are true;Better Camera & Battery for 2k screen,SD card support should be there & if price of phone is nearly same as Oneplusone then believe me Elephone become the Allmighty flagship killer with that Cyanogen mod,Some extra sensors will kill Note4 also & I’m so excited to buy this phone,Cant waittttttttttttt.
Hope they’ll add all above features.Really cant waittt.

Its better if they choose latest MTK6595 Processor over snapdragon801,cause they launching phone too late according to market competition,Also mtk6595 improves the features of camera also,hope they will done this.
