Vivo have managed to sneak up on us, and will be launching a new Android smartphone on the 26th August!
Vivo have posted on their Weibo that they will have something new to share with fans on the 26th August. With very little in the way of leaks from the BBK owned phone brand in recent months we believe the new device could be the Vivo X5 (possible X5L).
The Vivo X5L won’t be a flagship phone, but a high-end mid-range smartphone powered by an octacore MT6592 processor running at 1.7Ghz. It will also ale use of the Mediatek MT6290 LTE model to give the phone 4G network support.
Gizchina News of the week
It’s hard to tell what will be different on the Vivo X5L other than LTE when compared to other current Vivo phones, but rumours say it could be another thin device and the teaser hints at audio and sound quality, but all Vivo phones surpass in this area.

The rest of the phone should include 2GB RAM, 13 mega-pixel main camera and Android 4.4.2 OS.
