Alcatel will be following up their expansion in to the hot Indian smartphone market this year with 3 phones, which should shake things up with Xiaomi.
Alcatel, or TCL depending on where you are located, are the next Chinese phone maker to take the plunge and enter the lucrative Indian smartphone market, arrived in the Indian phone market around 3 years ago, and have now announced they will expand their range of phones by 3,
Alcatel will plan to sit between it’s two rivals in the market launching 3 premium mid-range smartphones ranging from the Idol Mini up to the 6-inch One Touch Hero.
Pricing will be keen with the base model in their range costing just INR 10,000, which should give Xiaomi’s Redmi a little trouble in the market.

Alcatel will also have the benefit of boating 42 distribution centres across India, which will hopefully allow more customers to sample their wares and also help with after sales service.
