Ever expanding OPPO is all set to call another continent its home, Down Under.
After successful launches in Europe, Indonesia and India, OPPO is all geared up to announce itself on the Australian smartphone scene. Surprisingly, very few Chinese OEMs have expanded to Australia until now, reasons behind which we cannot fathom.
The launch event will take place on the 2nd of September, which means there’s just about 10 days to go before that. If OPPO does release the 2K OPPO Find 7 in Australia, it will mean that there’ll finally be some competition on the 2K arena that’s currently dominated by the LG G3.
Gizchina News of the week
“Mark your diaries to be among the first to hear all the news from one of the leading mobile phone brands across APAC as they begin their Australian journey, and get hands on with the products for the first time locally,” is what the invite for the event reads, according to Good Gear Guide.
With more than just one Chinese maker eyeing markets outside of its home country, consumers can expect hardware to get better and better, and devices to get cheaper. In the end there’s just one winner – the consumer.

OPPO makes great devices, their build quality second to none but here in India their pricing is absurd when compared to other markets they sell in. Won’t be surprised if aussie prices are crazy high as well, electronics prices are pretty high there anyway. Add to that OPPO’s mindset.
Australia is renowned for “land of the gouging” so I won’t be surprised that Oppo will market their Find 7 phone as a premium phone & match the price to Samsung & iPhone. Don’t expect price in the 500s. Expect it to be above 800s or 900s, or more!
You’ll be a fool to buy this phone in Australia in Australian currency.
Can buy from Oppo with free headphone for 499 (Find 7 FHD).
yup! not only india here in Pakistan oppo smartphone price are too high
Find 7 is more expensive here than GT rey import LG, don’t or Samsung phone. Around US$70.
At least now there is a support centre to fix get imports here.
