Vivo have also launched a new smartphone today, the Vivo X5L, a slim LTE smartphone with octacore processor and high-end audio components.
It might seem only yesterday that Vivo launched the Vivo Xshot, and it’s true that it wasn’t all that long ago when the camera centric phone went on sale, so why have they released another phone so soon?
Well the Vivo X5L sits at the top of their current mid-range phones, and uses a Mediatek octacore processor rather than the Snapdragon SoC we find in the Xshot of Xplay 3S. The 1.7Ghz MT6592 chipset is coupled with an MT6290 model for 4G LTE support, a nice addition but we would have loved to have seen the all new MT6595 onboard.

The rest of the features are similar to what we expect these days including 2GB RAM, 16GB memory, Android 4.4.2, and 13 mega-pixel mani camera with F2.0 aperture.
Vivo always try to go the extra mile when it comes to audio performance and so we see a a Yamaha YSS205X-CXE2 audio chip with Texas Instruments TLV320ADC or MAX97220 amplifiers. The Vivo X5L also manages to measure in at only 6.3mm, making it one of the thinnest 4G LTE phones on the market.
Vivo will begin shipping the Vivo X5L from 28th August, but before you plan on importing one you should wait and see if it will support your carriers 4G LTE.
