Zopo’s flagship ZP998 is about to receive an update that will bring 4G LTE data connection to the flagship Mediatek device.

From early specification details the new version of the Zopo ZP998 (named the Minhei in China) will remain mostly the same as the current version of the octacore phone. To recap that means the same 5.5-inch 180 FHD display, 14 mega-pixel main camera, 2GB RAM and 2400mAh battery. The changes come by way of a more energy efficient (and slightly slower in the GPU stakes) 1.4Ghz Mediatek MT6592M processor with the addition of a MT6290 model for 4G network use.

Why aren’t Zopo simply putting the MTK6595 in? That’d be the right move in my opinion, after all the zp998 is their flagship phone and all the other hardware is great!

2400 mah on 5.5 inch screen with FHD and 8 cores it’s just wrong, never buy that shitty phone. On 5.5 inch body, minimum 3100 mah battery, that it should be, no less.
