IUNI U3 Video Review

Due to popular demand we have posted the following IUNI U3 review video to go along with the full written review we posted yesterday!

Just to recap the IUNI U3 is only the second phone from Chinese internet brand IUNI, and follows in the footsteps of the all alloy, 4.7-inch IUNI U2. The U3 continues the saga with an amazing hardware line up that includes a 5.5-inch Sharp 2K display, quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB RAM and 13 mega-pixel main camera.

Interestingly this flagship device also boasts a 3000mAh battery, front facing Ultra-pixel main camera, OIS and dual SIM all for the low price of 1999 Yuan.

Thanks Andi appreciate the time and effort that you commit to this site. I come here daily.

    Will watch after work.

Also to clear all apps you swipe to the right on the recent applications bar. I saw that on another Chinese video.

Will the final production model have gesture support then?

    • September 23, 2014

Doubt it, but it will likely be added with updates

Hmm… that sort of thing is a bit of a bare minimum these days I think, even the cheap cheap phones come out with some gesture support..?

Fantastic review too Andi! Like the first fella said here, I come here daily (or sometimes half hourly (dangerous I know…) I love this site, I’ve got loads of my friends hooked on looking here too! haha!

I see the IUNI U3 listed on Aliexpress but only 16gb and 32gb so far, I’m waiting for the 64gb to be available as I don’t think the other capacities will quite be enough for my better half, she’ll fill it with pictures, videos and music before I know it! Especially that we’re expecting our first baby in January, I want to get something that’ll take good pics while shes at home with baby and I’m at work with patiently waiting with whatsapp 🙂 Maybe the Meizu MX4 would be better there?

Can you link me to a 16gb on aliexpress, have only seen the 32gb.
But coming from 16gb nexus 4. 32 is enough

Hmm, it’s all changed! When I looked this morning there were a couple of the 16gb models on there with 6% off the price, now it’s only 32gb and they all say pre-order now… I’d like to think that Andi putting up the stuff here about the IUNI U3 creates a bit of a surge on Aliexpress and gets them listing like crazy… Hopefuly see a 64gb on there soon 🙁

I think for the price 32gb is good. Not sure on a 64gb price.
I think I’m going to get one. 1949deal had it for a cheap price too. But it says sold out.

Andi, just a suggestion. You should also add front camera samples on your reviews. Sometimes, people also look for front camera samples. ?

Time for side by side video comparison of all the 1999Yuan phones. 🙂 Mi4, Mx4, Honor 6, IUNI U3, One Plus One. 😀

Andi, have you tried installing Mobogenie straight from the apk? Then you could install all the apps you would like to test.

    Hey Andi,
I’m perrty sure that you are wrong regarding to bluk clean all program in background. All you need to do is slide from left side and all process will be gone.
