The Lenovo Vibe X2 won a lot of hearts at the IFA in Berlin a few weeks back, with its rather unorthodox design and interesting features. It was said that the Vibe X2 would get launches in Asia and Europe soon, and it looks like the company is working on just that.
The Lenovo India website now carries a listing for the Vibe X2. As you would expect, being a yet unannounced device (in India), the listing does not speak of the launch dat and/or the pricing of the smartphone.
Gizchina News of the week
In specification terms, the Lenovo Vibe X2 is very similar to the Meizu MX4 that we recently reviewed. It has a variant of the MT6595 that the MX4 runs — MT6595m — along with the same 2GB of RAM and 32GB on-board storage, which again is non-expandable in nature.
However, the screen on the Vibe X2 is considerably smaller at just 5 inches, unlike the MX4’s 5.4 inches. Both feature the same, 1080p resolution.
A couple of interesting accessories for the Vibe X2 are also set to be announced. This includes the attachable speaker, and the power bank; both need to be purchases separate, though.
Given the specs set and the nature of Lenovo, we expect the device to cost anywhere between 22,000 INR and 25,000 INR (US$360-410).
