It’s the age of fast phones and super fast connectivity. Testament to the statement are devices like the Huawei Honor Play 4, and the freshly announced Gionee GN715. Either phone hardly boasts of the most powerful internals, but both come with support for super fast 4G LTE networks.
While the Honor Play 4 takes the 64-bit route, the Gionee GN715 comes with the more common Snapdragon 400 SoC. It features the 1.2GHz version, so yeah it is slower than the Redmi 1S. But that is not the point, as far as the GN715 is concerned.

Other than that, there’s a 5-inch 720p panel to take up the front on the GN715, again far from flagship; more like entry-level (increasingly). A standard 8 mega-pixel sensor adorns the rear of the device, to work in conjunction with the 5 mega-pixel selfie snapper. There’s just 8GB ROM on the device, that goes up to 40GB (in theory) when coupled with a 32GB external microSD card.
Gionee often makes phones for other vendors, as you would’ve seen on the list of rebranded phones. That might well turn out to be the case here as well, since companies often choose to launch devices with pretty names, which certainly isn’t the case here.
Hmmm, mid-range and LTE, anyone?
